| POPs Follies - A show to showcase the talents of members of the Okinawa Military Community. Relatively easy to coordinate and plan. Maybe as a season opener? Maybe at a club? Maybe on our stage but catered by a club? |
| Children's Theater Workshop - A very popular event for POPs but hard to find someone to coordinate it. POPs members with some expertise in their field will teach 20 min. sessions on auditioning, lighting, stage presence, makeup, singing, dancing, theater traditions and etiquette. At the 2008 workshop each session prepared the kids to present a small song and dance number from The Lion King. It was performed for the parents at the end of the workshop. |
| Adult Theater Workshop - A new idea still in the planning stages. POPs would present in-depth classes on a subjects like auditioning, lighting/sound, stage presence, makeup, singing, dancing, theater traditions and etiquette. Maybe after the monthly meeting? Maybe on a Saturday? Maybe somehow in association with a current show? |
